Who we are

This site (nothingtoohard.com) is operated by Nothing Too Hard, an independent publishing brand based in Victoria, Australia ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal information described here. For any privacy question, contact hello@nothingtoohard.com.

What we collect

• Email address — when you sign up for the free monthly book or updates.
• Messages you send us — the content and your email address when you contact us.
• Basic technical & usage data — such as anonymised/aggregated analytics (pages viewed, device type) to understand how the site is used. We don't use this to identify you personally.

We do not collect or store payment card details — all purchases happen on Amazon.

How we use it

• To send you the free book and occasional updates about new releases (only if you signed up).
• To reply to your enquiries.
• To maintain, secure and improve the website.
• To meet our legal obligations.

Our lawful bases (where applicable) are your consent (email marketing, which you can withdraw any time) and our legitimate interests in running and improving the site.

Email marketing & your choices

We send email using a third-party email provider. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time. Unsubscribing stops marketing emails; we may keep a minimal record to honour your opt-out.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us operate — for example our email delivery provider and website hosting/analytics — and only so they can perform those services for us. Some providers may process data overseas; where they do, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate protection. We may also disclose information if required by law.

When you click through to Amazon, your activity there is governed by Amazon's own privacy policy, not ours.

Cookies & analytics

We use only essential cookies/local storage needed for the site to work (e.g. remembering light/dark mode) and, where enabled, privacy-respecting analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

How long we keep it

We keep your email for as long as you're subscribed, and enquiry emails for as long as needed to help you and meet our records obligations. We delete or anonymise data when it's no longer needed.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to stop using it for marketing. Under Australian privacy law (and, where they apply, laws such as the EU/UK GDPR and the CCPA/CPRA for California residents) you may have additional rights. To exercise any of these, email hello@nothingtoohard.com and we'll respond within a reasonable time.

Children

This site and our books are intended for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us their details, contact us and we'll delete them.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time; the "last updated" date above shows the current version. Material changes will be reflected here.
